Non-Fiction (Doubles Vies) is a new film by Olivier Assayas (Clouds of Sils Maria). It is a satirical comedy about art and mutual relations in the rapidly changing publishing world of Paris. Join our host Katie for network drinks after the film!

Publisher Alain (Guillaume Canet) looks on with envy at how the digital world catches up with his beloved field. He has great doubts about the latest manuscript by Leonard Spiegel (Vincent Macaigne), one of the authors whose semi-autobiographical novels he has published for years. The rejection that follows has a great impact on the mutual understanding between Alain and Leonard. It also affects the relationships with the women around them. As with the dissatisfied actress Selena (Juliette Binoche), the ambitious Valerie (Nora Hamzawi) and the independent twenty-year-old Laure (Christa Théret).

Non-Fiction premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where the film was enthusiastically welcomed by the international press. In 1985, director Olivier Assayas wrote along with Rendez-vous. This film that marked the breakthrough for actress Juliette Binoche (The English Patient, Trois Couleurs). Since then, the two worked together on Summer Hours (2009) and Clouds of Sils Maria (2014).
